Opening of the Huon Community Access Centre

The centre will provide day support for community access clients and respite services to families of young people with disabilities who live in the Huon municipality.
The Parkside Foundation CEO, Belinda Smith said past experience in sourcing venues for Community Access and School Holiday Programs had shown there to be a severe lack of suitable venues for our clients.
This centre is fully wheelchair accessible and is set in large gardens in a rural setting.
Opening this facility in the Huon will not only reduce the amount of travel for participants to and from our services, but will offer greater opportunities for clients to be involved in the life of their local community.
