The Young People Respite Program offers a varied range of respite options to carers of young people, enabling them the opportunity to enjoy the company of other young people while out in the community participating in local events.
The program runs on Friday evenings 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm and on Saturday 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. In addition weekend respite is offered regularly. The Young People Respite Program is open to both males and females, with appropriate accommodation on the weekends away. There are limited places in these programs, so bookings are essential.
Eligibility
The Program is open to young people above the age of 12 years of age with low to medium support needs. An assessment will be required prior to the first attendance.
Fees
The Parkside Foundation will cover activity fees, but participants will be required to purchase their own meals on Friday and Saturday respite programs.
